A Postcard from Pemberley  

 

Born of a long standing love affair the designer has had with the works of Austen, her characters, the era, their stories and the places which take them home, the collection reimagines a bygone era’s whimsy and romance in the silhouette of a modern woman.

 

Fascinated by the contrast between airy dresses and the brilliantly sharp coats of soldiers, it is the juxtaposition of floaty dresses and endless sleeves with hues the shade of the midnight sky; ditzy florals against military inspired dresses and heavy drapes. In the contrast of strength and fragility, it is an ode to Austen’s heroines who defied the expectations of their time; from Lizzie to Elinor to Jane herself.

 

Our campaign, captured under a gloomy sky threatening a downpour hopes to take you back to the English countryside, its rolling olive fields; hilly and endless, the sweeping rain and the charming dirt and gravel paths which promise to take you anywhere and everywhere between overgrown hedge-groves.

 

We hope our Fall/ Winter 19/20 collection transports you to a simpler time, leaving you nostalgic and yearning for the Regency era’s great loves and timeless romance...or better yet, inspires you to defy all that is expected of you and discover yourself.
